Hmmm.
I have some good memories, though I cringe when I think of how much of my time and effort went into (trying) to make ISSN credible and up to the task.
When I first joined we had only about 20 members, mostly alts, and an average of 4 people online at a time. We peaked at about 200 members (lots of alts and spys of course ) and I believe the largest gang we fielded was about 60, in defence of the CC/CDC invasion of ZXIC. Quite a turnaround considering how much of a challenge it was attracting PvP oriented players to ISS.
The roadtrips to places like EC-P8R were also pretty good, and in some ways we were pioneers of mass figther bombing (doing it with regularity before it become widely popular).
At times I felt we made real progress, the quality of our PvP increased dramatically (though was still lacking at times) and we became pretty good fun to fight, I hope. I like to think were were willing and not too concerned with things like K/D ratios.
And ultimately, well, I am still flying alongside friends from ISSN - the majority of whom I originally recruited. So, we weren't all alts and spys at least
RIP, ISSN.

Originally by: Decidis Although I never flew under the ISSN banner, I wish those that did the best of luck in their future endeavors. It was always fun to fight you guys back in the war with IAC, and who knows, we might find each other targeting the other in the future Good hunting and good luck.
Well, its quite funny because most of the really old-school IAC members flew alongside us in many suicidal but very fun gangs.
The newer ones fought us. But the old times with IAC/ISS against CC/CDC were the best, and I don't think thats just nostalgia. Course, we had to go ruin it all by napping CC/CDC.

Originally by: Serenity Steele End of an Era for ISS, but at the same time it's role was largely complete with the closure of the outposts.
Closure?
Thats an fancy way of saying they were "ripped from the hands of the inept". This event reulted in billions of lost and stolen ISK making it impossible to fund ISSN with cheap ship candy to play with.
ISSN was irrelevent long before your stations started to disappear. ISSN was like the chicken with it's head cut off... the head(s) were dead long before the body figured out it should lay down and stop movin.
Taikun
lol
Nothing like a bitter Taikun post to make us all chuckle
btw, for the curious, here are his glorious kill/loss stats on the ISS KB, in their unedited entirety:
Kills: 2 (both participations) Losses: 1
Thats was in April 2006. As you can see, he was a major player and has every right to his bitter opinions ---------- signature removed - please do not discuss moderation in your signature graphic - Jacques([email protected])
